SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] click here is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The service issue produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to permit the servicing of all clients and raise usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
